We aren’t big shoppers. We don’t have a lot of stuff. When we travel we like to bring home reminders of a different kind. We collect receipts, train tickets, bottle tops, basically anything that we get along the way. When we get home it becomes a collage. Below are some examples.

Last Day Things


On the last day in Lisbon we did last day things like walking really close to trolley tracks.

Going to a church that was destroyed in an earthquake before our country was a country.

Looking at clouds.

Going to beautiful bars and drinking cherry and ginger ale floats with pistachio ice cream.

It’s sad to leave but it feels like we’ve reached a place more

One Free Shot

Tonight at dinner we ordered and ate so much food that the owners of the restaurant gave us a piece of paper on which they wrote “ONE FREE SHOT” and sent us to a bar down the street.  Some of us took the shot then went and bought something called “Space Trips” and haven’t come home yet.  The rest of more

Lisbon, Amiga

Today around 5:30, we slipped into bar to watch one of Lisbon’s soccer teams play Spartak Moscow in a Champions League game.  It wasn’t crowded.  There were a few grown men moaning and smoking.  One had a dog named “Amiga” on his lap.  There were some young Dutch guys on a computer.  We couldn’t blame them. The Come Down

On the road from Marvao to Evora, as we came down the mountain, we found ourselves coming down from a high.
