Thing #7

Livestock.

Within a few hours of arriving in the country I knew something was different.

There were cows on a major road, in the capital city. Livestock of all kinds are found everywhere in Botswana.  They are considered to be prized possessions, especially cows, but they are not kept behind fences. Livestock here graze freely, even in the Gaborone.
